Summit Rounds

Every Tuesday from 7am - 7:30am

Collaborate in a facilitated discussion with providers, healthcare professionals and caregivers from across the valley to help your patients get their lives back.

Many Minds, Better Outcomes

Our rounds are more than just meetings; they are a cornerstone of our collaborative care philosophy. Held every Tuesday, these sessions are specifically designed to foster a dynamic exchange of knowledge and collaborative problem-solving within our medical community. Unlike traditional lectures, our rounds are highly interactive and discussion-focused, empowering each participant to contribute actively. This unique format ensures that all team members, from surgeons to therapists, are involved in refining approaches and enhancing patient outcomes through shared insights and collective expertise.

Lead a Discussion

We would love to extend an open invitation to anyone who would like to participate to lead a discussion. Please contact Amelia, Dr. Bowden or Dr. John Edwards with your presentation idea. We will review your presentation several times to ensure that it fits the needs of our community before we schedule you for rounds presentations. We strongly encourage all presenters to be an active part of the rounds community by attending, commenting and being present on Tuesdays.

Leading a Discussion?

Role of the Presenter: As the presenter, you act more as a facilitator than a traditional lecturer. Your main responsibility is to curate and present cases around a specific medical or surgical topic, guiding the discussion by posing pertinent questions, stimulating dialogue, and encouraging active participation.

Presentation Style: Effective Grand Rounds discussions rely on minimal use of slides and succinct, impactful content to maximize engagement through questions rather than extensive lecture notes. Your adeptness at fostering an open, inclusive discussion atmosphere is crucial.

Timing: Punctuality is essential. Each session must start and end on time to respect the schedules of all participants and maintain professional standards. Managing the discussion efficiently to fit the allocated time frame is key.
